Road Greening Upgrading Project On The South Side Danzhu Street

In history, Zhangzi County is where King Yao’s first son, Danzhu was anointed with his title and the county is named after it, meaning first son. It is one of the ancient towns with a thousand year history. Danzhu Street goes through the county from east to west. It is one of the main roads for everyday life and transportation in the county. There are many residential communities on both sides of the street but lacked spaces for public activities. The design targeted to promote urban construction, expand the people's leisure space, and improve the living standards of the residents. To improve the existing road conditions, the construction focused on greening, beautification and culture. We explored local cultural elements, introduced more layers and density in planting, repaired the Jingwei Sculpture Square and built additional drainage system. The entire development has created a unique new landscape green belt with the Art Gallery on the south side of Danzhu Street (South Liucun Section) and improve the comfort level for pedestrians as well as drivers.
