Road is an important urban spatial element, a component of the urban landscape, and symbol of the city’s image. In the planning and design of the road greening landscape improvement in Zhangzi County, we focused on creating simple, smooth, atmospheric and rich changes in the landscape. In the choice of tree species, we selected mainly the northern deciduous trees such as poplar, willow, and alfalfa supplemented with some other landscape trees according to the site condition. The supplementary trees in controlled density helped to create a three dimensional effect. The landscape nodes are built with a lot of attention given to environmental protection and practicality. The project eliminated exposed ground, maintained the original ecological structure while creating a municipal garden using eco friendly methods that injected vitality into the region. It is still leading the Five Governance Treatment to Five Level Road Action in building up a better image of the city.
