Little Shanghai - New Charm Of The Ancient City
Yaowan Ancient Town, located in Xinyi City, Jiangsu Province. It is a small town built by the canal and developed because of the canal. In its prosperous period, over a thousand sails sail on the ancient canal and miles of boats lined up and parked here for the night. Since then the name of Small Shanghai has been given to this small town. The spatial form and the traditional architectural community remains intact until today. In the planning and design, we keep the principle of regeneration based on protection. The design follows the spirit of ecology, harmony, vintage and culture. The ancient charm of Yaowan combined with the tender quality of the Houhe River as is the city moat are then merged into each cell space in the landscape. The interweaving of historical elements became the link between the visitors and the ancient culture and features. It not only inherits the cultural and historical environment, but also builds a comfortable and artistic living environment. The project created a relaxed and leisure travel environment with eco sustainability.
