The "Secret Garden" In The City
Through in-depth investigation of the geographical conditions of Jinshan, and serious thinking about the flower sea idea, we summarized five key points for the project: water management, retaining certain agricultural characteristics, forming a strong visual impact, industrial sustainability, and construction cost control. The design reconstructs terrain at south western zone that effectively solved the water environment problem and created a dynamic introduction space. This was achieved by planting different flowers and grasses in a large scale ribbon shape with multiple colours hence introducing more visual layers and vivid spaces. The north retains the original farmland texture and the integrated traditional irrigation and drainage system with the original water channel. This water system not only integrated drainage and hydration but also brought the agricultural landscape into the overall environment harmoniously and built a solid foundation for the branding operation system for the future industrial linkage with sustainability. Today, Jinshan Flower Sea has become a gold business card of Yuhang Tourism industry.
