Garbage does not only occupy land resources, but also pollutes the environment, endangers health, and even threatens human survival. As material life gets richer and richer, more and more urban villages are becoming inundated by garbage. Zhangcun village located in Anji with a total population of 15,800 produces 5 tons of garbage a day. About 50% of the garbage is kitchen waste.
In order to achieve the target of “reduction, recycle, harmlessness” in treatment of rural garbage in Zhangcun Town, local government built a Waste Pre-treatment and Transfer Station. However, the garbage leachate from the centre is high concentration sewage that can not be processed. We cooperated and designed the sewage process system in the centre with Zhejiang University.
